1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Trilla ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Trilla is a meeting transcription and AI assistant application that runs on your local device. The App can operate in two modes:
- Local Mode: All processing happens on your device using local AI models (e.g., Ollama, LMStudio). No data leaves your computer.
- Cloud API Mode: You provide your own API keys to connect directly to third-party services (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Deepgram). Data flows directly between your device and those providers.
3. Your Data
We do not collect, store, or have access to your meeting recordings, transcriptions, or any content processed by the App.
When using Local Mode, all data remains on your device. When using Cloud API Mode, your data is sent directly to your chosen third-party providers using your own API keys. Trilla's servers are not involved in this data transfer.
You are solely responsible for complying with any applicable laws regarding recording meetings, including obtaining consent from meeting participants where required.
4. Analytics
We collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve the product. This includes:
- App version and operating system
- Feature usage patterns (e.g., which features are used most)
- Error and crash reports
We never collect: recording content, transcriptions, meeting participants, API keys, or any identifiable meeting data.
5. Third-Party Services
When you use Cloud API Mode, you connect directly to third-party services using your own accounts and API keys. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies:
- OpenAI: openai.com/policies
- Anthropic: anthropic.com/policies
- Deepgram: deepgram.com/terms
- Google (Gemini): ai.google.dev/terms
Trilla is not responsible for any charges incurred from your use of these third-party services.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its code, design, and documentation, is owned by Zoo North. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or business purposes.
All content you create using the App (transcriptions, summaries, etc.) belongs to you.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of transcriptions or AI-generated content. You should always verify important information from meeting transcriptions.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zoo North shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
